Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, strategic, tactical missile and armaments customers throughout domestic and international markets. We offer a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, and advanced hypersonic propulsion.

Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate organizational groups. Coordinate work programs for shift operations.

Essential Functions:

  • 70% Provides direction to subordinate supervisors/assemblers based on general policies and management guidelines.

  • 20% Plans and coordinates integrated schedules for personnel, material and facilities utilization.

  • 5% Provides assistance to subordinates in meeting schedules.

  • 5% Responsible for assigned department budgets.

    Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior manufacturing experience.

  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related manuacturing experience.

  • Demonstrated performance in factory operations including a thorough knowledge of scheduling, planning, forecasting, performance measurements. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead effectively in a challenging team environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.

  • Willingness to be available to supervise occasional overtime work as deemed necessary by company commitment to schedule.

  • Willingness to assist in additional job duties as assigned by Management is vital.

    Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in implementation of a manufacturing process improvement activity is desired.
