Job Summary:

• Eastern Washington University is currently seeking self-motivated, independent workers for Custodian 1. Custodial Services maintains a safe, sanitary and clean environment in order to enhance the learning environment on campus. Duties include sanitation of restrooms, floor and window care, general cleaning of building interior and surrounding areas, emptying garbage and recycling and arrangement of furniture for campus events.

• Please note this posting will be used to fill multiple openings within our growing custodial department.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license

• Minimum age of 18.

• Physical ability to do the job.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must have the ability to learn institutional custodial techniques and requirements

• Must have excellent customer service skills as Custodians may be in regular daily contact with students, faculty and staff

• Must be a team-oriented worker with flexibility to assist fellow coworkers throughout campus.

• Must be able to work any shifts and any days

• Must be able to read, write and understand written documents

• Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency,
