Anticipated period of employment: 02/01/2024 to 11/30/2024

No experience required. Employer will provide 30-days of on-the-job training.

Duties may include: Plant, spray, weed, fertilize and water plants, shrubs and trees. Use of hand tools and gardening tools. Regulate greenhouse conditions and indoor and outdoor irrigation systems. Move containerized shrubs, plants and trees. Use of wheel barrows or tractors. Clean work areas and general maintenance on farm grounds. Dig, rake and screen soil, filling cold frames and hot beds in preparation for planting & other related Nursery Workers activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office. Interested candidates must contact their local employment office to receive a copy of the job order (ETA 790/790A) and applicable attachments. Once the applicant has a copy of the job contract they may call or email the employer to schedule an interview Monday- Friday from 8am to 5pm.
