Robert Half Business Intelligence Engineer in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team located in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves creating interactive dashboards, gathering analytical and visualization requirements, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and identifying data sources to develop and implement ETL processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create interactive dashboards by incorporating user interface and user experience design principles.

• Gather and articulate analytical and visualization requirements to develop end-to-end business intelligence solutions.

• Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze information, create BI dashboards, and support ad-hoc business requests.

• Use tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI to manage and present data.

• Identify necessary data sources and advanced information system environments to develop and implement ETL processes.

• Create and improve data warehouses using conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques.

• Leverage principles of software development lifecycle (SDLC), supply chain management, prescriptive, predictive and descriptive analytics.

• Use BusinessObjects Technologies and MicroStrategy Development to enhance business intelligence.

• Conduct AB Testing and use Business Intelligence Technologies to improve system performance.

• Document business requirements accurately and in a timely manner.

• Use Microsoft SQL Server and other database systems to manage and retrieve data. Requirements Strong knowledge of Database systems • Proficient in Analytics • Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and related technologies • Ability to create Business Requirement Documents • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI • Experience in Ad Hoc Reporting • Excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
