Job Description:

The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Discipline Lead and Engineer of Record (EOR) with responsibility for fire protection scope on assigned projects. The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. Job duties include:

• Develop and review project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals

• Develop, review and monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts

• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria based on applicable local codes, client, and underwriter requirements

• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity

• Provide technical support in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in areas of expertise and be willing to assist in training and development of less experienced engineers and designers

• Other duties as assigned
