This position can be filled as a Specialist Admin III or Sr. depending upon the candidate’s background/experience.

Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for daily operations in resolving and completing account maintenance and billing issues.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Assist internal and external customers with courteous professionalism, maintain records as required, and participate in special internal and external projects as requested. Identify and track employee-training needs identified through Quality Assurance or Employee Skill Matrix, update and revise training modules as necessary, facilitate new hire and refresher training, and coordinate and participate in cross-functional training when process issues are identified.

Perform quarterly SOX testing and oversee departmental records retention compliance. Participate in defining requirements and testing functionality for new automations and programs and make recommendations on procedures and courses of action related to the department's performance and operations for efficiency.

Provide technical and process training, distribute, and monitor workload of clerical staff daily to ensure completion of work.

Provide daily guidance, account analysis and assistance on resolving technical or difficult issues related to billing.

Perform various billing tasks and work various reports related to daily operations and controls and collect and track work load measurement for weekly reporting purposes.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Desired: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., information systems, accounting, business, finance, economics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

Minimum of 5 years of Customer Accounting or Customer Service experience.

Minimum Experience

Specialist-Admin III: 4-6 years of relevant experience

Specialist-Admin Sr: 6+ years of relevant experience

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Must be proficient in CIS and CCS billing systems, have good knowledge of Entergy's rates, regulations, programs and payment options, and understand business processes related to Entergy's regulated companies. Must have the ability to resolve process failures from several groups that touch customer accounts and be a responsible member of a team that ensures the accurate billing of Entergy's electric and gas customers. Must be dependable, self-motivated, goal oriented, organized and able to manage multiple tasks with little or no supervision. Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Entergy system applications. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to develop presentations, including training and meeting materials. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Thorough knowledge and demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Entergy's safe work practices. Demonstrated maturity in decision making and respect of peers. Working knowledge Microsoft Office toolkit application and Entergy's system applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills required, as well as good analytical and organizational skills. Understand Entergy's rates and regulations and programs and payment options. Understand business processes related to Entergy's regulated companies. Understand Corporate programs and initiatives such as ECI, Shared Values, Code of Integrity, etc.
