THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Selinsgrove Center is seeking a Custodial Work Supervisor to support the center’s goals of maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for consumers, staff, and visitors. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Work Supervisor, you will ensure quality control pertaining to the housekeeping functions for consumers and staff in all living and program areas by completing environmental audits and sanitation inspection forms to document any concerns and progress. An important aspect of this work involves m aintaining sanitation standards set by the Department of Human Services and other regulating agencies such as the Department of Health.

In this role, you will be responsible for training employees and competing employee performance reviews. In addition, you will be working alongside a dedicated team of professionals to assist in completing custodial tasks, as well as carrying out the instructions of the Custodial Manager in order to provide continuity of services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.

  • Overtime: As needed

  • Travel: No

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (commonwealth title); or

  • Two years of experience performing custodial work.
