General Job Description:

This is general social services work providing support and assistance to social work teams in the Department of Human Services or in the Office of Homeless Services. Employees in this class provide administrative support and a wide range of support services involving scheduling, transporting, and escorting clients to medical and therapy appointments, supervising parental visits, and accompanying social work team members on home or field visits. Work is performed under the close supervision of a technical or managerial superior.

 

The Requirements are as follows:

. EDUCATION:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school grade;  

AND  

2. EXPERIENCE:

Two years of administrative experience in a social services or government agency with responsibility for providing intake services or coordinating services for youth.

OR

Two years of full-time paid experience conducting or instructing structured programming for youth in a school, nonprofit, or government agency.

 

NOTE: Completion of two years of study (60 credits) at an accredited college or university, with major coursework in social work, social services, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, behavioral health, public health, human services, human or child development, education or a closely related field at an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
