Microsoft Corporation Program Manager II in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for a Program Manager II to join our team! The Azure CoreOS Partner Ecosystem team within Azure Edge + Platforms organization is looking for an experienced PM to partner across Microsoft to help our ISV partners build high-quality, differentiated solutions across the entire ecosystem of Azure Adaptive Cloud.

You will work closely with Microsoft’s ISV partner ecosystem. You will be the center point for engineering readiness and device/solution implementation and quality for the assigned partners. You will help drive their application/solution quality, either through direct delivery or by coordinating an array of Microsoft technical resources. You will navigate across a wide spectrum of Microsoft groups and levels, from Sales and Support, to Program Managers, Development teams, and Microsoft Executives.

Responsibilities

  • Represents partners by collecting, assessing, and implementing their feedback through various mediums (e.g., feedback sessions, online community boards) with support from others. Supports engagement with partners to understand their goals and roadblocks. Engages in effective and transparent communication with partners to minimize blind spots and ensure efficiency.

  • Supports assessment of capabilities partners’ needs to be trained on to ensure successful implementation. Coordinates with internal teams to create training and readiness materials for partners to build partner capabilities and improve their customer engagement with support from the team. Supports scaled training sessions, technical calls, and technical-enablement sessions with partners.

  • Progresses product improvement with engineering by collecting partner feedback that identifies potential gaps and areas of opportunity within products. Makes suggestions for product gaps and opportunities, with minimum managerial support, using own foundational technical knowledge. Contributes to practices that enable partners to influence the product. Works with partners to identify blockers and issues as one-off cases or trends. Works to identify who is being affected by trends and whether it can be turned into a business case.

  • Consults with senior peers to understand emerging and/or developing products. Gathers partner insights on emerging and/or developing products. Gains technical knowledge of partners and the business to make suggestions on pros and cons of investing in upcoming relevant technology.

  • Supports development of differentiated offers with hands-on keyboard work via proof of concept (POC). Carries out technical tests to support differentiated offers.*

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • A proven understanding of ISV business needs, knowledge of computer industry issues, and demonstrated customer engagement experience.

  • Possess technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • A proven ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and customers.

Partner Enablement Program Mgmt IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
