Under general supervision, the Wiring Harness Assembler assembles wiring harnesses used in electronic components produced for PRIDE Industries customers. Employees in this job class, crimp and plug connectors, mark, strip, and twist cables together, perform testing and checking, and complete related paperwork. This job class requires knowledge of soldering techniques, the use of crimping and stripping tools, quality standards, and the ability to work with precision, accuracy and attention to detail.
*Assembles wiring harnesses used in electronic components produced for PRIDE Industries customers.
*Crimps, and plugs connectors; marks, strips, and twist cables together.
*Checks and tests completed work, identifies and repairs errors, and assures wiring harnesses meet established quality standards.
*Processes forms and worksheets including Bill of Materials (BOM), TQC sheets, shortage sheets, and job performance check-off sheets.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

• One year of experience in electronic manufacturing or assembly;
• Familiarity with specialized departmental equipment including soldering tools and techniques, crimping and stripping tools; ability to read and use a ruler;
• Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required;
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests;
• Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English;
• Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data;
• Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;
Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills.
High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:
The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Utilizing keyboard
• Viewing computer monitor and detailed work requiring close vision
• Assembling small parts requiring manual dexterity
• Lifting and moving boxes or equipment up to 25 pounds
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with forklifts and production equipment. Employees may be exposed to noise from equipment in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to elevated temperatures, high heat, occasional fumes, toxic chemicals, and airborne particles.
