Deloitte Functional Lead in Sacramento, California

We are looking for a Functional Lead who has the Integrated Eligibility domain expertise and would oversee the development of functional solutions, collaborate with the development team to ensure alignment with business requirements. Provide guidance on best practices for solution design and contribute to decision-making processes. Collaborate with the testing team to develop and execute comprehensive test plans. Ensure that functional solutions undergo rigorous testing to meet quality standards.

Work you'll do

As a Project Delivery Specialist II in the Technology group you will:

  • Apply best practices in functional areas related to Implementation and Operations Management

  • Maintain ownership of tasks and/or project workstreams while providing instructional guidance to more junior professionals

  • Provide expertise on engagements related but not limited to Systems Implementation, Operations & Maintenance, Helpdesk Operations, Software Application Development and Maintenance

  • Perform analysis to diagnose client issues as well as the assessment of client issue analyses performed by more junior personnel

  • Execute a portion of the project scope, and provide strong subject matter expertise to the tasks or workstreams you support

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the client environment and overall project scope

The GPS Human Services Transformation offering designs and implements large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies as well as higher education institutions. With end-users, customers, and workers at the center, we collaborate with our clients to deliver quality human services and work to support individuals in need. Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • 7+ years of experience in creating functional design documents and leading design sessions

  • 3-5 years supervisory or leadership experience of leading large teams

  • 3+ years of experience as a functional lead on an Integrated Eligibility project with the knowledge on State and Federal programs like SNAP, TANF, Medicaid etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Preferred:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc.

Certifications:

  • Public Cloud certification - Associate/Professional (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 - $188,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
