Our Environmental Services department has multiple opportunities open for Fixed Duration (temporary) full-time (100% FTE) HOSPITAL CUSTODIANS! These positions are benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 12 months in duration. WORK SCHEDULE We are looking to fill:

• Temporary Day shift positions: 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Temporary Evening shift positions: 3:00pm-11:30pm and 5:00pm-1:30am

• Temporary Night shift positions: 11:00pm-7:30am POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS Under general supervision, the individual in this role will maintain cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure.

• Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant.

• Empties/relines wastebaskets, regulated medical waste containers, and recycle containers.

• Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure.

• Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors.

• Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure.

• Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors.

• Follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, personal protective apparel, supplies, and equipment.

• Sets up, moves, and takes down equipment and furniture and transports items to be repaired.

• Reports the need for repair and/or maintenance of furniture or equipment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Physical ability to do required work.
