Here’s the Gist: 

Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Electrical Supervisor to lead the Facilities Maintenance Electrical Team at our new location in Siler City, NC – the world’s largest silicon carbide materials factory. In your role, you will partner with the Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering managers to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance (preventive, predictive, and corrective) strategy for the Electrical maintenance team. You will have direct supervisor responsibilities for the electrical technicians / electricians. You will also role model and champion a safety and quality mindset to your teams through continuous improvement of processes, policies, procedures. and reliability programs to ensure uninterrupted electrical services to the site. 

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Leads a team of electrical technicians and/or electricians charged with maintaining critical electrical systems on the site.  

  • Manages the team to develop & hit key metrics to measure & improve performance.  

  • Drives a culture of safety and quality. 

  • Support and influence 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity. 

  • Partners with Operations and Engineering to identify, coordinate, and execute planned and unplanned maintenance across site.  

  • Plays a key role in the installation and commissioning of assigned systems. 

  • Develop procedures for maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical systems and components. 

  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and practices 

 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): 

  • Current state electrical license/ certification and a Highschool degree, GED, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of applicable experience directly managing / supervising a team of skilled electrical technicians / electricians in an industrial setting. 

  • An extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems and advance troubleshooting capability

  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers & vendors in support of electrical systems maintenance and repairs. 

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and design documents, which includes maintaining instrument as-built documentation

  • Proficiency with computers and software to include Microsoft Office suite of products, SCADA, and CMMS applications. 

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, at heights and confined spaces, around machinery and moving parts

  • Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists, includes standing or walking over hard concrete surface, and climbing ladders

This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations
