POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that serve the needs of the business while supporting broad-based and long-range corporate HR initiatives. You either serve a specific business or provide support for other HR personnel who support a business. A key aspect of the role involves stakeholder management, and ensuring that HR solutions are a “win-win” for all involved.

  • Working with business leaders, and with the support of Division HR and Practice Centers, ensure the effective “delivery” of all HR programs and services. Responsible for HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results.

  • Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from Regional Practice Centers and Division BHR to ensure HR delivery is successfully coordinated to meet and exceed business needs.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the effective delivery of HR services across Singapore Affiliate and across divisions.

  • Consults with Affiliates senior leaders to develop, evaluate and execute HR strategies in conjunction with Division HR and Practice Centers.

  • Manage a Team of approximately 5 to 6 People directly and Indirectly.

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Attract and retain talent, ensure development experiences (leadership, cross-functional, technical, global perspective) and diversity; ensure knowledge transfer among HR employees.

  • Conduct risk assessments to determine potential roadblocks in the implementation of a system or process; build consensus within the business for adoption of HR systems and processes

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY & SCOPE:

  • Provides BHR support for APAC region with about 500 employees

CHALLENGES:

  • Servicing a diversified set of businesses.

  • Changing and frequent corporate HR initiatives that must be implemented in the businesses.

  • Managing stakeholders from different levels and managing expectations.

  • Rapid and frequent changes to the business.

  • Staying up-to-date on innovative, technology-based solutions.

  • Navigating a matrixed organization.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Should be able to partners with the business to ensure that business strategy and HR strategy support one another across the two Affiliates.

  • Must possess the ability to build the organizational talent pipeline by planning and contributing to key developmental experiences (e.g., leadership, cross-functional, technical, and global perspective) for employees across the two Affiliates.

  • Capable of understanding HR Policies and procedures in order to influence changes post the on-going reviews across the two affiliates.

  • Must understand Financial Management in order to be able to act as a steward of departmental assets by managing budgets and cost structures.

  • Should be familiar with local Labour environment in order to deal and mitigate with any Labour related Matter. This is in case of both Plant Operations and Commercial Operations environment.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/communication discipline preferred, such as psychology, business management, health care related majors, etc.

  • Minimum of seven years progressive relevant experience in HR field.

  • HR experience across multiple organizations / sites preferred.

  • Must have Commercial BHR Experience.

  • Must have a good understanding of compensation, talent acquisition, learning/development and employee relations required.

  • Prior supervisory / leadership experience with multiple levels of professionals desired.

  • Fluency in English language required.
