The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will execute the corporate demand planning process for the company through modeling, analysis, and forecasting. This position will prepare and analyze sales and operations forecasts and prepare reports and presentations, which will include analyses of variances versus forecasts. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a best practice global S&OP process with key external business partners. This role will also support the process to integrate new, externally manufactured products into the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate and timely monthly statistical demand forecast reports for DR Power product lines by Sales office by ensuring the right quantities of the right products are produced, supply is effectively allocated, and financial and operating plans are accurately built.

  • Simplify and translate complex data into clear, concise information that is understandable to non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to gather input and ensure alignment on demand forecasts.

  • Develop and maintain demand planning models, tools, and processes to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending actionable insights to optimize inventory levels and mitigate stockouts or excess inventory.

  • Conduct regular reviews of forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting techniques and methodologies.

  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate demand forecasts, key insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Support strategic business planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to anticipate changes in demand and proactively adjust forecasting strategies.

  • Responsible for overall data maintenance for systems associated with Demand Planning.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience in demand planning, market analysis, forecasting or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and implementing demand planning processes, methodologies, and tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, and other data analysis tools and demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, or John Galt Atlas Planning) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence decision-making processes.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Level of Independence: This position acts under the direction of the Director of SIOP & FP&A

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
