For over 100 years, the Rescue Mission of Trenton has been the agency in the City of Trenton dedicated to rebuilding lives. The Mission operates an emergency homeless shelter, a continuum of behavioral health programs, and a variety of permanent supportive housing option. Who Will Be Successful: Successful candidates bring commitment to supporting and empowering individuals to acquire new knowledge, skills, and competencies. They are highly organized, effective communicators who will work effectively to foster continuous training opportunities, conduct needs assessments, ensure the execution of the training, and track and follow-up with surveys of how training information is being implemented in work environment. Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Fluent in English; Spanish preferred (both written and verbal)

  • AA. in business, communications or education preferred, minimum Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification and relevant experience in training and development

  • Excellent relationship-building/people skills

  • Able to work independently

  • Work with units to design a training program

  • Coach and offer trainings to staff to meet agency objectives

  • Evaluate needs, deliver training programs and assess learning progress

  • Strong computer skills (comfortable using the following, or similar tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Zoom, Survey Planet)

  • Excellent team communication skills – has a sense of what needs to be communicated, to whom, how often, and in what way, for the staff to be successful

  • Well-organized, able to prioritize among competing tasks

    Hours: 8a-4p, Monday – Friday with flexibility (may change based on needs of agency)Hourly Rate: $22.36

Covid-19

Rescue Mission of Trenton requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start of employment, unless the Rescue Mission of Trenton has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption.
