The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a hardworking, reliable individual to work during the Pennsylvania State Parks Summer Seasonal Program which typically runs from April to November (determined by individual State Park needs). If you enjoy working outdoors providing a vital service to the public while earning extra cash through temporary summer employment; the Commonwealth may have such an opportunity for you.   DESCRIPTION OF WORK This Laborer position provides routine unskilled work to assist with providing clean and safe facilities for visitors as well as assists semi-skilled and skilled maintenance staff. An employee in this class performs light and heavy manual laboring tasks in a wide variety of construction and maintenance work. Some assignments require limited skills, which can be readily learned on the job. Usually, work is performed under the immediate direction of an employee of a higher classification, but many tasks assigned are routine and repetitive in nature and, after being learned, can be carried on without difficulty and under general supervision.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal full-time employment: there are no benefits. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with 30-minute lunch. Will be required to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed due to 7 day/week park operations. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
