The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Developer, Data and Analytics to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for the enhancements and expansion of the firm's financial (and other) data warehouse repositories. This position will be based in our White Plains office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

As the Senior Developer, Data and Analytics you will:

  • Design and implement specific projects to enhance the firm's decision-making capabilities.
  • Design and support processes and automation required to ensure performance, data accuracy, and data quality.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Optimize and refine data models and strategies.
  • Support and maintain data structures for complex ad hoc queries, analysis, and reporting.
  • Design and implement data models to support visualizations and reports to communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Develop and maintain related documentation and metadata.
  • Support Generative AI and Machine Learning applications by providing data feeds as required. Implement data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for model training.
  • Stay current with the latest research in Data Analysis and related AI technologies and techniques.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Comply with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in T-SQL. Proficiency in Python, R, Power BI a plus.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of data warehousing and both relational and non-relational database design
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to convey complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrates familiarity in providing dataset to large language models, prompt engineering and related fine tuning practices, this includes implementing data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for generative model training and/or machine learning workloads
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Demonstrate close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Systems/Data Analytics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight years' data analyst experience and/or proven experience in a data-related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful data-driven projects

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary Details

$150,000 - $170,000
